What I appreciated about this book is that Dr. Pedre did not have strict meal plans for people to follow for the 14 day period. Instead, there are lists of foods to enjoy and to eliminate in order to find food sensitivities and allergies. He explains how to use the lists to get the most out of them.
Dr. Pedre also explains the vagus nerve and how it affects everything up to the brain. He includes breathing techniques to try to relax the gut and the vagus nerve.
Overall, this is the perfect book for anyone who doesn’t know where to start if they are having any type of health issue. The GutSmart Protocol is easy to understand and follow and includes some delicious recipes to make your gut happy.
