Cosmic Creatures: The Runaway Rumblebear is the story of a young girl named Charlie and her “pet” robot named Random, along with her family (mom, dad, brother), who are Earthlings, living on the planet Vela for the past two years to learn about it. When food gathered from plants begins going missing, people get worried, but Charlie explores and discovers a new species of animal that they name the “Rumblebear” because of its surprising roar from a small, soft, and cuddly creature. One goes missing, and it’s up to Charlie and Random to help find its family in new, uninhabited, potentially scary areas.

was an easy read with the words, and I enjoyed the pictures throughout the book. It reminded me of the Holly Webb stories with rescue animals; readers who like some slight suspense, mystery, and rescuing animals will love this book and this series. I could not think of a favorite part because I enjoyed it all!
